Responsible holiday in Cervosa
Under the slogan “Serfaus z’liab autofrei”, Serfaus has declared itself a car-free community. Whether you’re heading to the sights or the ski lift, thanks to the underground system with its four stations, you can get around locally quickly and comfortably without a car. It was built back in 1985 and was completely refurbished as recently as 2019. Our contribution at the Cervosa: you can park your car for free at the hotel and rest assured it’s in safe hands throughout your holiday. Furthermore, we wash all the hotel laundry on-site to minimise long transport distances on our part too.
Our measures to save energy and resources
More than 20 years ago, we installed a solar heating system at Cervosa to provide hot water for the indoor pool, and expanded it a few years later. Furthermore, LED lights – which are particularly energy-efficient – are used throughout the hotel. The mechanical systems, such as ventilation and cooling, are also state-of-the-art and energy-saving. The hotel is heated by natural gas. In this regard, we are currently exploring the possibility of blending hydrogen and biogas into the gas supply to further reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, we employ efficient temperature management systems to minimise energy waste. In 2023, we installed a brand-new 600m² photovoltaic system with a capacity of 120 kilowatts peak (kWp) on our roof.
Treating our staff with respect
At Cervosa, we’re committed not only to using natural resources responsibly, but also to treating our staff with respect. For us, this includes offering very good pay – and a willingness to pay above the going rate – as well as regular working hours with fair and transparent time recording. In addition, we offer our team the pension scheme provided by Valida Vorsorgekasse, opportunities for further training, as well as special payments and end-of-season holiday pay. We also provide free workwear, including a laundry service, free accommodation right at the hotel, and free meals.
